Kinesiology Taping for Horses: Benefits and Techniques

Kinesiology taping for horses is a highly effective method to improve proprioception and extend the benefits of manual therapy. By applying equine kinesiology tape, this technique provides biofeedback that stimulates proprioceptive responses, encouraging horses to activate muscle groups that were previously stiff or tense.

For optimal results, I use Vetkin Tape®, a premium tape designed for veterinary applications. This approach can:

  • Relieve tension in back muscles
  • Stabilize dropped fetlocks
  • Support overall mobility and rehabilitation

In some cases, you may notice the so-called “fascia lift” effect after taping. Kinesiology tape is not only useful for reducing muscle tension but also for enhancing proprioception and aiding recovery. Various taping techniques can be applied to different areas, including the back, to achieve targeted therapeutic goals.

This type of taping can be very useful for tense back muscles.
Dropped fetlocks can be stabilized and supported by this application.
Kinesio tape can not only be used to treat tense muscles, but also to increase proprioception.
